According To Your Faith

According to Your Faith (Matthew 9:29)

All of us have been given a measure of faith (Romans 12:3) and it is up to us as to what we do with it. Our faith has been impacted by our culture (upbringing and environment). If our upbringing didn’t expose us to faith like it should have, it is up to us as believers, to become new creatures in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17). Which mean it is an on-going process in becoming new. It is our responsibility to must move far away from our old way of thinking & belief, if that the case, so we can experience the growth that is intended for us.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them..” (Mark 11:24)

This is a very powerful scripture but also misunderstood by some. Some people think that they can desire anything and pray about it and God will give it to them. First of all, our desires should be within the peremiter that God has set in His Word. Jesus said: "I and my Father are one, when you see me you have seen my Father also." (John ...14:9) Which means, He and His Father are inseparable.

Samson was deceived because he wanted to believe Deliah's lies. Although he could strangle a lion, he could not smother his burning lust and see Deliah for who she really was. How can you keep your desire for love and sexual pleasure from deceiving you? (1) You must decide what kind of a person you will love before passion takes over. Determine whether a person's character and faith in God are as desirable as his or her physical appearance. (2) Because most the time you spend with your mate will not involve sex, your companion's personality, temperament, and commitment to solve problems must be as gratifying as his or her kisses. (3) Be patient. The second look often reveals what is beneath the pleasant appearance and attentive touch.

We walk by faith not by sight

We live in a sight world although we engage in sight activities, it is a faith operation. Therefore we should walk by faith. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. This is done by reading God's and then meditating on it day and night.

“I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 18:19)
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” (Mark 11:24-26 NIV)
“But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

The Power To Work With What You Have Left

Key verse:
“But you will receive power [to work with what you have left] when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, [Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC] and in all Judea [from Florida to Canada] and Samaria, [from West, VA to California] and to the ends of the earth. [The rest of the world]” (Acts 1:8)
“The LORDsaid to Gideon, “With the three hundred men that lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hands.

Manage Your Emotion

"We walk by faith not by sight [emotions]." (2 Corinthians 5:7)
On yesterday I spoke about what God will cause to happen if you really got up. Today, I want to talk just a little more on "Emotions". It is our responsibility to make sure we are not living our lives based upon our emotions. Emotions usually causes us to become self-centered. Some people are more emotional than others. However, it can be controlled. With practice we must be lead by the Spirit and not our emotions.

I Wonder What God Will "Cause" If You Really Got Up

Key verse:
“Now God hadcausedthe official to show favor and sympathy to Daniel.”
(Daniel 1:9)
  • Because God was impressed with Daniel's determination to remain pure, He watched over every decision Daniel made and ensured that everything thing ended up working in Daniel's favor regardless to how it started out.
An Attitude of faith:
Daniel as well as the four men in the below text had an attitude of faith.
