Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them..” (Mark 11:24)
This is a very powerful scripture but also misunderstood by some. Some people think that they can desire anything and pray about it and God will give it to them. First of all, our desires should be within the peremiter that God has set in His Word. Jesus said: "I and my Father are one, when you see me you have seen my Father also." (John ...14:9) Which means, He and His Father are inseparable. Therefore, our desires should be so closely connected to God that our desires are actually God's desire for our lives. If our desires didnt have boundaries, we could be praying for some one else's spouse or house and desire God to Bless us with it.
Example: A person might be praying for more money, a spouse and a car. Well God may not give it in that order. He may give you the car first so you can use it to take yourself to bible study so you can learn how to be a good steward over the money you already make, learn who you are and how to treat a spouse before he give it to you. Because He truly want you to have your desires met. "Not a sermon, just a Friday nugget."
